The left side of the table shows the tools you need to learn over the semester (based on my review of your Table of Contents from the book you selected). You will learn the tools by consulting the book you purchased as well as asking others for help when needed. When you learn a tool, or use it, you will then link it to a maximum of 3 examples of how you used the tool. (Tools like the text tool will probably be used on all of the assignments. If so, you don't want to link to all assignments, that would be too much).
Make sure though that by the end of the semester you have links from ALL of the tools listed. Notice too that you are asked to learn 3 tools in addition to the ones that I have listed here. You will need to name the link accordingly when you get around to those tools. (For example, you might want to use a paint brush tool since the paint brush allows you to explore a different type of design element.) If you choose to use the paint brush tool then you name the tool Paint brush and link it to the project where you used the paint brush.
